Location & Directions to Armada House

Bristol Management Centre is located in Armada House which is conveniently situated in the heart of Bristol City Centre. BY TRAIN

Bristol Temple Meads train station is only a short distance away. Buses and taxis to the City Centre or Baldwin Street are frequently available, although when weather permits it is a pleasant walk of approximately 20 minutes. The most direct route on foot is to turn right at the end of the station approach, then walk about 50 metres. Just before the roundabout, cross the road using the pedestrian crossing. You will then see a second pedestrian crossing which you should also cross. Turn right. Stay on the pavement and this will take you off at the next exit from the roundabout into Victoria Street. Walk the length of Victoria Street and over Bristol Bridge, which crosses the river. Turn left into Baldwin Street. Continue past the first left turn (Queen Charlotte Street). The next left turn after Queen Charlotte Street is a pedestrianised cobbled street called Telephone Avenue. Armada House is the last building on the right.

BY BUS

There are many bus routes into Bristol. You can use any bus that stops in the City Centre or Baldwin Street. There are also Park & Ride facilities located at Long Ashton, Brislington and the Portway (Avonmouth)

BY CAR (There is NO parking available at Armada House)

From M4 – Exit the M4 at junction 19 on to the M32 and head towards Bristol. (This motorway reduces to an urban dual carriageway after approximately 3 miles and becomes the A4032). At the end of the dual carriageway you will see large scale development works taking place for the new shopping centre. These are changing on a weekly basis so you will need to follow any signpost for the City Centre. In due course you will be able to see the blue "Spectrum" building on the right hand side of a dual carriageway (Bond Street), following which you will arrive at a large roundabout. Take the first exit and continue through three sets of lights (all pedestrian crossings). You will then approach a larger set of lights where you need to be in the left-hand lane. Continue through these lights into the City Centre, keeping in the left-hand lane and then turn left into Baldwin Street, signposted Bristol Bridge and Car Park. Telephone Avenue is the second turning on the right and is where Armada House is situated. Telephone Avenue is pedestrianised so you will then need proceed to your chosen parking location. From the North (M5) – Exit the M5 at the M4/M5 interchange. (M4/M5  J20/15) and join the M4 heading East. Exit the M4 at junction 19 and follow directions from the M4 as above.  

From Bath and the South East (A4) – Follow the A4 towards Bristol and follow signs for Temple Meads Station and the City Centre. As you approach Bristol itself you will arrive at a major roundabout which is built over the River Avon. Take the third exit towards the station and continue through two sets of lights. (Temple Meads Station is on the right). On exiting the second set of lights merge into the right hand lane and turn right through another set of lights. Turn left onto Victoria Street keeping the Holiday Inn and Brann on your right. Continue along Victoria Street aover Bristol Bridge, which crosses the river. Turn left into Baldwin Street. Continue past a left turn (Queen Charlotte Street). The next left turn after Queen Charlotte Street is Telephone Avenue. Telephone Avenue is pedestrianised so you will then need proceed to your chosen parking location. Please see Parking.

From Wells (A37) – Follow the A37 northbound following signs for Bristol City Centre. This northbound carriage will eventually meet the A4 at Brislington. Turn left and, again, follow signs for the city centre and then take up directions along the A4 as above.

From the South West (M5) – leave the motorway at junction 18 and head towards Bristol on the A4. Continue along this main road following signs for the City Centre until you reach the city’s central roundabout. (Adjacent to the roundabout are The Bristol Hippodrome on the left and the Bristol & West building on the right). With the Hippodrome on the left continue ahead in the right hand lane taking the first right through the middle of the roundabout. Move into the left-hand lane and turn left into Baldwin Street, signed Bristol Bridge and Car Park. Telephone Avenue is the second turning on the right and is where Armada House is situated. Telephone Avenue is pedestrianised so you will then need proceed to your chosen parking location. Please see Parking.
